About Semax

Semax is a synthetic analog of the adrenocorticotropic hormone fragment ACTH(4-10), developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Pro-Gly-Pro C-terminal tripeptide extension provides enhanced resistance to enzymatic degradation. Research has focused on its neurotrophic effects, particularly its ability to increase BDNF and NGF expression in various brain regions.

Preclinical studies have explored Semax's effects on cognitive function, attention, and memory formation, as well as its potential neuroprotective properties in models of cerebral ischemia and oxidative stress. Additional research has investigated its influence on gene expression patterns related to the immune response, vascular function, and neuronal survival pathways.

Semax is provided as a lyophilized powder for in vitro research and preclinical investigation only. Each batch is subjected to comprehensive quality control procedures, including HPLC purity analysis, mass spectrometric sequence confirmation, and microbiological testing.
